New lab publication 🌱
Under drought, seedlings reshape their rhizosphere microbiome, recruiting helpful microbes. Tracking this in tomato revealed promising inoculants, including a potential novel Paracoccus.
Takeaway: plants may already select the microbes that matter most!

🧫 Some Bacillus don’t just grow, they build! Species like B. subtilis, B. licheniformis and B. amyloliquefaciens can form wrinkled, structured colonies linked to biofilms. These same microbes are powerful biocontrol agents and help plants cope with stress 🌱
