We can’t trust Palantir with our NHS data Is this really the company we should be entrusting with our health service’s digital architecture?

"Palantir is not just a problem of profiteering from our national healthcare system— it's a fundamental threat to the democratic control of our public infrastructure + the privacy of every citizen. By giving our taxes to this company, we are aiding their operations everywhere."

BOOM!
South Australia's power prices have plummeted as they near 100% renewables, proving to the world that relying on wind and solar with battery back-up is possible, more reliable and costs people less.

THIS is how we avoid the next oil crisis.

Great that this has been done. But retrofit to EnerPHit standard is not “net zero” - that would need a lot more solar panels.

For how how long have we been told that the US has this fabulous written Constition whereas we do not?

But the US Constitution has been shown to be the emperor with no clothes

It might as well be a blank sheet of paper

It might as well not exist

The US is acting entirely on the whim of one man

For new homes, it’s about getting the design right in the first place so that 40% roof area covered by solar is easily achievable.

I don’t think that’s true: the Home Energy Model when it appears will cause more overheating in summer, is less airtight, has worse airtightness and uses more energy as a result.

A comment following my interview with Rob Cooper climateuncensored.com/the-climate-... was: "It would be good to occasionally hear a climate expert that doesn’t spout all the other left wing axioms ... more chance of convincing right wing policy makers." An important point with my reply attached.

I asked the Elmhurst conference why England wasn’t pressing for Passivhaus to overcome housing build quality issues, and the feeble excuse given was the workforce couldn’t deliver. But Elmhurst is a training company! Such defeatist rubbish.

This cannot be rocket science. I think it reflects that DESNZ isn’t in a fit state either - this thing was originally due several years ago.

Spain also has a lower energy tariffs for low consumption.( PVPC)
The U.K. makes no acknowledgement that for low consumption the daily ‘service charge ‘ can make up 50% of the bill .
This stinks !

HOW MANY MORE OIL WARS WILL WE ALLOW?

The climate fight for clean energy is a fight for peace & stability.

Beware false solutions like "green" hydrogen, pushed by methane companies (aka, natural gas).

There is only one CA Gov candidate who gets it: Betty Yee!

Labour just announced energy price cap dropped.
Oil just spiked, completely undoing that.
Given 50% of UK energy is from renewables, now is the time to renationalise and drop the dumbass marginal price system that makes green energy needlessly as expensive as gas.

And I don’t buy gas and only use renewable electricity, so don’t appreciate gas interfering with my electricity bill!

How can gas transmission costs go up by 65%?!! Some dodgy accounting going on there I think. @ofgem.gov.uk please break this number down into its components and explain what time periods are involved between the old and new costs.

Government accused of caving in to building lobby amid plans to shake up housing sector in England New changes to planning rules would limit scope of English councils and prevent them pursuing improvements to low-carbon homes

Preventing local authorities from pursuing the most ambitious environmental standards that go beyond current, inadequate building regulations for greener homes is shameful & shortsighted, & cheats people out of warm, energy efficient homes👇

Ofgem should prioritise capacity improvements for homes and ICE —> EV transition, and only allow data centres that have a robust financial plan.

What’s an affordable elevator? Is it a balanced one where the weight of people going down, lifts another elevator up? I saw one of these at the University of Sheffield’s Maths department once - a one-person version. They have a name, can’t remember what.
