My point—the singular theme of my campaign for Congress—is this:
Whatever your specific policy priorities and preferences may be, wherever you think the public interest should take us, we can’t and won’t get there unless and until we …

They looked for “Don T” in the Epstein files and redacted all instances, which means they also redacted a lot of “don’t”
Sad that I’m reading about this in a British paper and not seeing this kind of coverage from local journalists in Portland. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
PORTLAND MAYOR WILSON:
“.. To those who continue to work for ICE: Resign. To those who control this facility: Leave. … you have lost all legitimacy and replaced it with shame.”

Almost as infuriating and outrageous as their murder are their immediate lies about it.
Sinclair Broadcasting propaganda:
“The President of the United States is a criminal. He’s not just a convicted criminal. He should have been convicted for the crimes he led on January 6th. He is running the government like a mob operation.“
Let us all stand with Chairman Powell.
But what is it, exactly?
According to eyewitnesses, armed ICE agents dragged kids out of their beds in the middle of the night, zip tied them and put them in rented vans while raiding an * entire apartment building* on the South Side of Chicago.

This is the protest right now outside the ICE detention facility in Portland that has caused Trump to call in federal troops to use “full force.” Frankly, this is the biggest I’ve seen it all summer.
The book is super engaging and fascinating. I do not know how you managed to pull this off while going to law school - truly an incredible feat. Congratulations, and thank you!
Finally, a headline to feel good about!

Can we please stop saying he was “deported”? He was sent to a maximum security prison seemingly for life when he has never even been charged with a crime.
It’s sad to see powerful lawyers - of all people - knuckle under so readily on core principles when faced with a threat of economic loss.
A brazen and sad little shakedown…
So outrageous.
My hope is that downtown (which I still think is mostly incredibly pleasant) continues to fill up with these quirky small businesses. There are encouraging signs that’s happening. While I hope Nordstrom stays too, maybe life after Target, J Crew, and REI can actually be better than it was….

To use Trump’s phrase, “people are saying” Columbia must have rejected Barron Trump. It’s the only explanation that makes sense.
I appreciate that this is well intentioned. But I do think it’s the kind of generalization and stereotyping that harms more than it helps. And I think giving this a label that conjures Nazis and the KKK also ensures that people will put up barriers even to good and legitimate messages.
Well, because you associated them with white supremacy culture in your post. I don’t like the suggestion that people of color don’t have a sense of urgency or can’t be perfectionists. That seems more problematic than helpful to me.
Much as I loathe the current DEI backlash, this kind of thing contributes to it, in my view. More than that, it seems insulting (to put it gently) to suggest that people who are not white don’t tend to be perfectionists or have a sense of urgency.
This a pretty good piece for employers that are worried about the current DEI hysteria. hbr.org/2025/02/the-...
This is a good piece. But we should be clear that the use of the undefined phrase “illegal DEI” is a scare tactic. The only “illegal DEI” practices are preferences, quotas, & separating employees by protected characteristics without sufficient business necessity.

Important insights and inspiration from my brother for the nonprofit sector in particular, but has resonance beyond that sector as well.
