I donโt post often but felt the need to say that I have not stopped thinking about The Last of Us S2E2 since it aired on Sunday. ๐ข
But after giving them an extra week to work on a paper, a fair amount of them are taking me up on my offers to meet with them, give them extra feedback, and review things before the [extended] deadline. Which is how it should be with writing projects.
Now, back to it... ๐ค 2/2
After a long day (that isn't over yet) of reading students' writing, giving them feedback, and chatting with them in meetings, I have to say: The kids are alright. Post-pandemic and mid-rise-of-AI, current undergrads honestly get a ton of flack. 1/2

I have a PhD in English but I still question why itโs โporingโ over sources and not โpouring,โ even though logically I know Iโm not pouring anything over my sources ๐
The emotional labor it takes to pull together job app materials these days is wild. Sent off a job app and am celebrating with a little splash of Baileyโs in my Friday work-from-home coffee.

On Tuesday, it was almost 60 degrees. On Thursday, it is snowing.
