It also sounds like it was the best you could do with knowledge you had access to at the time, and honestly it's all you can do!

Just me musing: I suspect that some people don't actually know if they like some things until they *see* it. Like, one can write up and talk about things, but sometimes great photography and/or art reach some people better and faster!

But yeah. I think it's just a step in a bigger process!
