What was going on with that Sharp computer - quite pricey there! Not sure I’m familiar with what that was. You can see why the Speccy was a popular choice! That handheld Sharp sounds interesting too!
Time for a bit of reality - a thread.
Sales in the shop are doing well, but we're reliant on sales on the website to help pay the bills.
The website is reliant on social media, particularly twitter.
Since September, we've seen a big decline in people seeing our tweets.
Word of the day is ‘huff-snuff’ (16th century): a hectoring bully or braggart.
There were some episodes on ITVX (might still be!)
Bert’s Blackboard Road Ahead Closed * Diversion [arrow] *not really
There’s been a lot of road closures in old town recently, so I thought I’d help give everyone the directions they really need. 👀
Ah yes I recall you mentioning the EV - hope that’s working out well. And yes, super great on the job too! I changed jobs back last April after a very long time. We should catch up sometime!
As very nice! I’ve got a Gameboy Pocket and slowly expanding my collection of Gameboy cartridges. I love things like the Analogue Pocket - I can quite easily get lost down these rabbit holes. I’ve bought a Psion Series 3a off eBay in the end - fingers crossed it’s not awfully broken 😂
Weird vibes early this morning from a brilliant sun and thick, frosty fog
There’s lots of fun retro stuff going on out there too. I have an expansion board plugged in to my Spectrum now which can load software from Compact Flash (well technically anything with an IDE interface). I love the ingenuity that’s out there.
Doing well thank you! Yourself??
Oh yes absolutely! Thing is this tech is just starting to get to the point where it’s nostalgic and so prices are going up! I’d love an Acorn machine of any kind but they’re so expensive - especially the BBC Micros and Archimedes!
I often enjoy looking for retro tech on Vinted and eBay and have recently been thinking how nice the Psions were and how cool they’d be to use today 😊
The BBC Archive is an absolute delight - a chocolate box of excitement - and I really enjoyed this one of Johnny Ball having better success with 80s technology than I have with Google Home!

Have started hunting out accounts I followed on Twitter. About half done. Just looked at my main feed and it feels a bit like pulling on a cosy jumper 😊
This feels like early days of Twitter all over again…
First task is to try and locate those great Twitter accounts that have moved over!
Hey! 👋
