Release of the Max app on LG TVs has rendered the Apple TV pretty much obsolete. It was the final holdout.

Nodes of Yesod 25th Anniversary Edition … from 2010! Seen here running on an old iPad I unearthed. Long since banished from the App Store due to the 64-bit policy. Coming up on 40 years in 2 years time!

A blast from the past! “Who’s Buying” was a Unity game we developed at Jet Set Games back in 2009 for iOS. This was early days for Unity on iOS, in the days of the Unitron text editor, no IDE, debugger, etc. Long since vanished from the App Store, but working on this old iPad I came across today.
Me too! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
And cold. Usually.
For a second I thought thought that was Steve Bannon and Lindsey Graham. Which was confusing.
Actually we may have eventually added an EU shard for combat. Still.
It is easier when you’re not on a 28.8 dialup, but yeah. We operated BattlePirates in a single AWS data center in the US on EC2 instances, the realtime multiplayer part was fine for players worldwide (for some value of fine at least).
Reminds me of the Engage game matchmaking service for realtime multiplayer games in the 90’s. It used AOLsock, AOL’s WinSock stack, for dialup. Trouble with that is AOLsock homerunned everything to AOL in Virginia. Hello 2 second roundtrip on average. Engage wasn’t very popular as a result.
Here’s a couple. Ukranian Speccy clone and Romanian Speccy clone.
I guess the Speccy did color bleed better than Bluesky. :)
I really must get on with that Next version of Nodes. Where does all the time go.
I think they pressed the GO button for manufacture for 2nd batch.
Next!
Supposed to be an animated GIF
