It’s a hell of a coincidence for Grasserly to say on Jan 5 exactly what the 2 page Eastman memo contemplated - and they may have told him he’s on standby. He obviously should never have said anything on Jan 5 but he did. And unfortunately many of our Senators are in about the same shape mentally.

And read the Eastman memo as to what they wanted Pence or Grasserly (or his staff) to do - not that hard which is the scary part.
