Nice range of their own beer (the cask porter and keg lager were top notch) but some great guests too (@elusivebrewing.com Oregon Trail 💪).

The very lovable rascal Stanley turned 10 yesterday.
So he had smoked salmon & scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast, pie for lunch, then spent time waiting for & receiving biscuits from behind the bar.

It is indeed. And over the years think I've tried a select few imitators but never been bettered imo.

I've genuinely lost count of all the individual people I've not seen for ages who I'd happily then and now spend an evening chatting with.
And tbf that includes most of the people I met during those years.
I miss the old beer twitter days.
And it annoys me that lots of people that I met during those times (either virtually or in real life) I've lost touch with.
Partly my own fault but partly the fragmentation of social media 🤷

Same here. Think I had a very nice, cosy but diverse friend feed before twitter became the Nazi bar. Lost contact with most.
But then again I was very lucky to see a fair few of those people in real life at @salfordbeerfest.bsky.social recently. And it was bloody lovely 🙂
