It’s so surreal to see it run like that. Everything is slower, the art is a little different and the sound blaster lacks all the depth of the snes audio chip. But it’s definitely Megaman X and that’s a helluva accomplishment if he had to rebuild everything.
One of the best pieces of video game art to this day. I remember staring for hours at the cropped version on the SNES cart Box. It blew my mind the first time I saw the whole image.

Please explain Reccoa to me. I loved her character so much, but I never understood her choice to defect. I think that's intentional because the Argama crew didn't either. But the more I try to make sense of it the more out of character it feels from where she starts.

He was the same age as Amuro at the beginning of the one year war!
He was a symbol of how fucked up it is for literal children to fight these wars.
They’re all just babies! And they killed off Katz, and broke Kamille, and traumatized Amuro, and turned Hathaway into a monster.
War eats kids.
And they telegraphed his death for like 3 episodes too. I kept dreading it every time he went out.
I had hoped it would be a misdirect, but I know Tomino doesn’t mind killing children off horrifically. I’ve seen that scene from Ideon. So I knew he was probably gonna die and it gutted me.
They did Katz dirty. A stereotypical shonen protagonist. Young, hopeful, headstrong and determined to prove himself. In any other show he’d be a hero and get the girl.
Not Gundam though. War is hell, adults are demons and he’s just a tragic little boy who never should have been in combat.

They did it with Char multiple times. You don’t owe them an explanation. Just resurrect your boy, give him an alias and let the universe decide he’s back even when he denies his identity. Never explain how.
