9/ This is a regime transition: reconfiguring after systemic capture. Success will depend on if the new government can sequence reform without triggering economic or political backlash, build credible enforcement against entrenched interests, and sustain public support beyond the initial rupture.

On my way to Oxford for the PSA conference! I’ll be presenting a paper on Tuesday morning & taking part in a stellar round table on Tuesday afternoon. I’ll also be at the @psaecn.bsky.social speed mentoring event on Monday morning.
If you’re around & fancy a coffee between panels, drop me a line!
Last day to apply!
As expected, the objection was rejected by the centre-right to far-right majority in the EP, including what looks like quite a bit of support from Renew.
Did not expect, though, to see that standing ovations from the right & far-right erupting to in the EP plenary afterwards.
Includes a long rant on the EU’s returns regulation.
Is this my best photo? No. Should it dissuade you from booking time to chat with me in Innsbruck? Also no.
