3/3 We're exploring what the Abbey and its precinct may have looked like at this time, after the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the late 1530s. The Abbey complex was likely reconfigured significantly to accommodate Henry, his wife and their sizable retinues! Work continues...

2/3 - It's likely that Henry VIII and his then-wife Catherine Howard stayed in apartments within the Abbey's cloister in 1541 as part of his royal progress to the north of England.

It was blowing a gale here today in Orkney, but we still captured some excellent 3D scans of the Neolithic archaeology being uncovered at the @NessofBrodgar excavation! These 5000 year old structures contain stones with fine incised details that our scanners were able to pick up.

We reconstructed several buildings known to have been owned by members of the medieval Jewish community on Coney Street. These were grand stone houses, with living quarters on the upper floor and shop spaces for rental below. #3dmodeling #medieval #york #archaeology
