I feel this. But there's nothing "wrong" with fan service. Maybe even some people with this take feel a little left out. This movie that's essentially about the awkward-kid-who-finds-himself sort of abandoned that particular arc.

Agree. It's like when you look at old school design from when things had to be clear and embellishment was expensive. The point is the game, not the high res logos.

Although this will probably feel stale in a few years and we'll go back to 3D rotating logos with specular highlights.
