A group of young adventurers approach a mysterious shrine where a sword emerges from a rock shrouded in mist. A key concept art painting by Andy Porter for Gardens Interactive's new game.
A new painting (by me) I can share for the game we are working on here at Gardens. I still can't say much, but things are moving along smoothly and I'm excited for you all to see it when it's ready. I really appreciate all the enthusiasm everyone has shared with me about the art we've shown so far.

Art for our upcoming game @gardens.dev π³
We're kicking off 2026 with a new website, a press kit, and a look back at the year just past which saw us running external playtests, hiking among the redwoods, and sleeping in racecar beds.

Three characters doing a heroic pose together: a warrior, and archer, and probably some kind of mage or healer. Theyβre in a dim forest, but lit by a ray of light coming through the canopy. Art style reminds me of blurring_my_dayβs style.
Beautiful concept art drop for @gardens.devβs upcoming game gardens.dev/press
i don't know why bluesky hid this very important recommendation, thank you π

two distant characters (one holding a staff, the other equipped with a sheathed sword and shield) stand at the entrance of a mossy cavern, looking out at the wilderness beyond. squidlike creatures float midair in the foreground.

lotta people about to be bludgeoned to death by baboons
a close-up shot of a PC demo station on top of a low wooden table
a close-up shot of 3 colorful teas in glass kettles. a Gardens-themed menu details what is in each tea.
thank you to @silcris.bsky.social, her team and the Tea at Shiloh staff for planning and running the event, to our team for making the game so good so early, and to everyone who joined us!
we can't wait to share more about what we've been cookin' at Gardens Interactive. πΈπ³
an overhead shot of a warmly lit teahouse room full of people -- some sitting on the floor, some standing and chatting. concept art is projected onto gauzey fabric hanging from the ceiling. there are 4 PC demo stations on short tables on the floor and 2 more standing PC demo stations on the side. the footage on the screen is censored.
a close-up shot of 4 people seated around a PC demo station. there are people standing and talking in the background next to a tea bar.
we hosted a secret teahouse LAN party during Summer Game Fest this past weekend where we let a select group of folks play our still-unannounced debut game. it was so heartening to see the enthusiastic response to what we've been building!
before I log back off FOREVER, I am a full time writer at @gardens.dev now. we're making games. it's pretty neat.
thanks for the well wishes everyone!
can't really talk about what the game is for a bit, but will say the two reasons I joined up was the people working on it are incredible, and the game itself is something truly special
i will give one hint though:

also our lead producer wants to know what age you would consider your egg eating prime? when do we peak as eaters of egg
threndsa, that is so many eggs
a respectable egg count
in this concept art by Gardens art director @Phandy.bsky.social, three figures sit around a campire fire beneath huge, mossy stone statues. a red-cloaked character sits and sharpens their blade with a whetstone, and the other two (one wearing a blue wizard-like hat, the other in a hooded teal cloak) are collaborating over a pot of stew.
we're making a shared fantasy adventure game in which making stew is important. it takes a lot! in fact, you can never have too many cooks.
help us cook!! we're hiring a Gameplay & Combat Designer! our remote studio offers competitive salaries, 35-hr work weeks & more πΈ

our boss says he can eat 52 eggs but that's the kind of hubris the gods are supposed to smite people for
i was told i could skeet this but that i'm not allowed to say skeet on the company account :(
i promise we're making a very good video game but the Gardens team has also been debating how many eggs we could eat in a sitting for two entire days
more eggs than Marlon Brando? is eating eggs PvP?
bluesky how many eggs do you think you could eat in a sitting this is really important
genuinely excited about what this studio is working on. if you're what they are looking for, I would urge you to apply
phenomenal attitude about how games should be made, from the people making them to the people they are made for
they're not kidding about the work/life balance stuff either!
not like this...
