Just want to add on here that I still do a lot of childish things, like pranks and dressing up funny occasionally. But for me, 27 represented official entry into adulthood.

I am 58 and my biggest birthday in my life was turning 27. I don't know what about it did it to me but it was the birthday that cut all tethers to behaving as a child.
In your twenties you can act like a child for a while, but by 27, you're kicking 30 in the butt. Happy birthday!

If you have philosophical differences with the left/dem leaders/policies, that's okay, it can be worked out. At voting time, a no vote is a bigger help to trump then a vote for trump himself.
