You know who'll be voting for REFORM this May?
Fox hunter and hare coursers - that's who. Farage is a fox hunters best friend.
Don't let them within a country mile of your local council this May. Send them a strong message that those who support blood sports are not welcome.
Eggesford are now left scrambling to fill his position for the 2026-2027 season, will there be a spring chicken ignorant enough to replace him at this rickety coop? 05/05
Eggesford had put all their eggs in one basket with Marles, but will this be what finally brings them down?
After nearly a decade of sabbing, the cock has finally left his roost, with numerous police investigations following him to wherever he decides to make his nest. 04/05
Even without our recent drone footage leaving Marles with egg on his face, the Eggesford hunt are a shell of their former selves, barely managing to break a dozen field riders, and only the hardline supporters frequenting the hunt. 03/05
We were informed towards the end of March that Master Huntsman James MasโฆJason Marles was to be leaving the hunt at the end of the season. Had his smug faรงade finally cracked or had tensions within the hunt finally boiled over? 02/05
EGGCELLENT NEWS! HUMPTY DUMPTY HAS FALLEN (or was he pushed?)
Happy Easter from all of us at Devon County Hunt Sabs, we are pleased to announce that the Egg of the Eggesford Hunt, Jason Marles has been laid off. ๐งต๐ฅ01/05

Hang fire on completing the โTrail Huntingโ consultation until the HSA publishes its guidance.
This needs to be done properly this time, we canโt afford any missteps.
Today the government has opened its consultation to bring about a ban on so-called โtrail huntingโ which acts as a smokescreen for actual hunting.
The HSA will be issuing guidance in the coming days to assist with submissions. Please sign up to receive our latest. www.huntsabs.org.uk/ha-campaign/
Yesterday we joined up with @war-huntsabs.bsky.social and South Wessex Hunt Sabs for the Cotley Huntโs closing meet near Chard.
The sunshine and warm temperatures ensured minimal scent and the hunt were packed up shortly after 3pm.
Report to follow.
The end of the season approaches, but weโve still got at least a couple weeks left.

We spent the day with Stevenstone near Little Torrington.
Weโve still got to catch up with several Eggesford and Silverton reports, as well as Stoke Hill and North Dartmoor Beagles and Exmoor Foxhounds. ๐งต๐ฆ 01/02
If you support our work and want to contribute a couple quid towards our fuel and equipment fund, you can do so via paypal.me/DCHS 10/10
We're catching up with recent hit reports but our priority is sabbing as much as possible before the season ends, so there's a bit of a delay on the admin side. 09/10
They boxed up before 4pm at Woodland Farm, where the hound van and several horse trailers were parked for the day. 08/10
With not much to see all day, hunt supporters David Evans and Helen Dunn turned to their usual belligerent antics, both of them seemingly desperate to get their fingers caught up in the propellers of our drone at takeoff and landing. 07/10
The presence of sabs averted a digout, protecting the hunted fox as well as the resident badgers at the sett. 06/10
It wasnโt until they got to the Frogmore Copse valley north of Stowford that hounds picked up on the line of a fox, following the scent in full cry all the way east to Island Copse. Hounds marked a badger sett, indicating that a fox had gone to ground. 05/10
After drawing another blank in a scrubby area around Breakneck Cross, Jason took hounds via Sandy Lane back towards the area north of the meet and into Woodland Wood and Higher Ford Wood. 04/10
They continued north through Bottomley Wood towards Stowford Wood, hounds failing to pick up on any scent. 03/10
The hunt set off north towards Stowford, first drawing a blank in a large gorse patch and then carrying on east towards Breakneck Cross, with huntsman Jason Marles on foot a lot of the time. 02/10
The Eggesford Hunt 26.2.26
Eggesford met at Higher Biddacott on the edge of Chittlehampton. They seemed a little surprised to find a small team of sabs already waiting for them in the fields north of the meet. ๐งต๐ฆ 01/10

If you have any information on where these last few remaining meets may be occuring, or information regarding the locations of the staghounds, please pass it on. 14/15
Fox and hare hunting season may be coming to a close, but spring stags hunting is from March-April, and mink hunts start again in the summer! 13/15
The end of March/beginning of April marks the end of the fox hunting season, but unfortuanely that's not where it all ends. 12/15
Given that two days before this, a farm adjacent to these woodlands lost several heavily pregnant ewes to a dog attack, it was clearly not wise/respectful to send a pack of uncontrollable hounds to tear through the surrounding woodland. 11/15
After some grumpy mumbling and with sabs on his tail, he soon gave up and headed back to the meet. James then got into his pickup truck and alongside some of the quadbikes set off to try to find the remaining hounds. 10/15
