ANYWAY this is to say that we don’t always notice how bad a storm is.

We live in a garden unit, half insulated by the ground, at the top of one of Chicago’s higher points.

The unit came with pristine hardwood floors that are at least 15 years old. I don’t worry about flooding. If it’s bad enough for us to flood we have MUCH bigger problems.

A good friend out by Schaumburg texted to see if we were doing ok. 😬😬😬
