I’ve just heard the BBC report that dominique pelicot has been found guilty of aggravated rape as well as attempted rape of “another man’s wife” - today of all days can we get that this woman is a person in her own right? She is not a possession of her husband or exist only in relation to him! 🤬

Exactly this. You can't save the NHS by just building a better factory. We have to build a healthier society. That's where the main 'efficiency' lies. We've known this since Wanless and not done it.

I'm old now
Old enough to remember the smoke free legislation
Everything that has been said today:
End of the British boozer
A fundamental assault on our freedoms and liberties
World stops turning etc

Was all said then

Almost as if someone dusted off the BAT PR playbook and amplified it......

Sam Altman doesn’t care about you The OpenAI CEO wants to extend his life by 10 years, but doesn’t care the poor die 15 years earlier than the rich

Sam Altman says he wants to “give people another 10 years of healthy, vigorous life.”

In the US, the rich live up to 15 years longer than the poor. Changing that requires political action that many tech billionaires oppose, not more tech solutions.
