i used to exclusively write in present tense too! i really love the rhythm(?) of it. it flows differently for me, and it scratches an itch in my brain. also, i sometimes practice writing past tense by taking a paragraph i like that i’ve written in present tense and rewriting that in past tense!

i have a weird mental block when not writing in present tense, like the words are all trapped behind a dam or something lol. i’m working on it!! ToT

i must confess that i struggle a lot with writing in past tense, so i’ve been writing in that tense as practice, but it hasn’t gotten any easier 💔 i’ve been reading more in my free time too, but it’s so hardddd.

knowing me, i'll probably reread and make a few minor edits in the morning, like krys how could you forget something so simple or krys you forgot to swap out that sentence!!! but i'm generally happy with how the fic turned out 🥹

i have had the most stressful 2-3 months. it feels really good being able to share something i've actually finished 😭
