Did she really say this robot-guy (Plato) could replace human teachers by educating our children in the "comfort" of our homes? Comfort? Plato? In my house? I wonder, would she be comfortable with Plato in HER actual house in Florida vs a photo opp at the White House?

Want to be hotter? Try this one weird Republican trick | Arwa Mahdawi The right has found a new pitch for young women: conservatives are better-looking

www.theguardian.com/commentisfre... Jessie Waters: ‘My advice to all the ladies, our side is better, and you get hotter, right? All Republican women are hot! Tell me that’s not true.’ Since you asked: It’s. Not. True. (Sydney Powell, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Roseanne Barr.. Shall I go on?)

Don't believe Thune; believe Trump & Bannon. They are 100% ending the Filibuster. (Maybe after Holiday travel problems & headlines?) What's galling is Dems should have done this so many times – before the GOP did it. Thune will say, "We have no choice." He'll blame the radical Left. Watch.

Burying the Lead/Lede — 7th graph down & nowhere in the headline: “Yet Trump still has not delivered evidence to Congress supporting claims that the alleged drug boats were carrying narcotics.“ At this point - after Venezuela killings - isn’t this the story now? Dereliction of duty by media. Again.

Remember & Repeat: GOP can re-open the gov tmrw with just 50 votes in the Senate by changing filibuster rules ‘one time’ for their spending bill. McConnell did it often; Thune has already done this for appointments/confirmations this term. They have 54 votes with VP. This all the Dems need to say..

I recognize how pivotal he was on that January morning. But the lowlight of the Atlantic Festival was Mike Pence. “Donald Trump has not changed the Republican Party.” Really? Didn’t he send flying monkeys to “hang” you? Remember the gallows they brought? (They were Dems?) @theatlantic.com #TAF2025

“He had it coming.” That line – delivered sardonically by British comic Richard Ayoade – had everyone getting the laugh we needed yesterday. He was being interviewed by David Letterman about another TV comedian in the news. (Day 2 today.) #TAF25 @theatlantic.com @theatlanticpr.bsky.social

My cancellation of the WaPo took about five months to go into effect. Today is the day! Yet I have conflicting feelings: F-ck Bezos but what a loss—WaPo WAS a national treasure. Democracy Dies In Capitulation.

Did you get a live person on the phone? (I could not.)

Really seems like they are going to cave.. does anyone think the GOPs won't get those 8 Dems they need? Notice Schumer won't say anything? FEELS like a cave-in is coming...

In NY state and DC today, no one answers (district offices or HQ) for either Gildebrand or Schumer. You can only "leave a message." Over the past year or so, I've noticed this — Senators and Reps don't take live constituent calls anymore. (I emailed but do they really read emails or listen to VMs?)

Gross. (And good point.)
Just me, or is this over the top? Reminds me of when Fla Man had to show up in GA for his arraignment as an (EX-)president (the mug shot) – and 50-ish black Secret Service SUVs with flashing lights created a motorcade for him to/from his private jet.

Oh my goodness - this should be done over and over, fall ALL of them. What a GOOD (winning) strategy.

He's got lots going for him - articulate, military service, Midwesterner, modern personal story. And he's YOUNG. An antidote to our gerontocracy. Also, he's not a 'scary' East Coast liberal. Conservatives (and donors) might give him a chance - unlike Bernie, AOC, Liz Warren. (All of whom I prefer.)

Remember, prices & inflation were “going to come down - and come down quickly.” This was, we were told over and over, why he won.
