Yay 1k followers / thanks y'all - bsky is the place to be. I'm experimenting currently with the algos on X and will be back once I'm smarter. This here has more potential in my opinion. There is no algo in place (at least not a weirdly sentiment-configured one). Hope it stays this way

Finally got my company account back from X. What a mess. Back to marketing and fixing bazillion bugs in production. I need a deadline again... let's define it at the end of the month = seo, bugfix and marketing date.

True it is not. But you need to "establish" your target audience first, you need to network. You can reach out directly (if you have the network) or indirectly (communities). The engagement is just a way to advertise and find possible clients. I might use bad expressions, hence the confusion

X? This is bsky. But anyway... any kind of network / outreach. If you have a decent following and engaging people validation gets trivial. You can use ads to do the same but randomizes audience (problem?). Validation isn't just posting a link somewhere, it's having a base of community to begin with.

I feel that the validation part is in of itself a problem. How do you actually validate without a network? chicken vs egg problem

Disagree. I'm looking for feedback and some form of accountability. Having a small amount of "oh... I should be sharing my progress... let's make this neat" is enough give me "some" motivation

I'm curious, why don't you use a free DB at first and then scale up to selfhost? Especially since dsql from aws is around the corner.
