NIL has created more parity. A coach like Saban can no longer count on a roster with as many 5star as he like. I think the era of coaches like Saban are over. Not only do you need to be a good coach, you also need a big bag. That combination will be rare and if you are TAMU, none of this will work.

A second question. Who is the better DC, Ted or Alex?

Terry pointed to ISU and said we can be successful without deep pockets. Scott talked about finding overlooked players. We are essentially saying that we can do more with less and that we are better at evaluating players. Sounds like arbitrage. We have a leg up. Will this work? I have my doubts.

I want Deion for #UCF head coach. I know that won’t happen so my second choice is Frost. I don’t know what coach besides some big name that would bring more juice. Listening to the old players talking about Scott is what makes me convinced. Is the fan base going to be excited about Odom or Sumerall?

I am envisioning a Frost situation where the deal is essentially done. That said, I agree that there are probably a bunch of loose ends that can play spoiler.

I hope that this has been in the works for several weeks. It is not like Gus leaving for FSU happens overnight. Terry must have known for a few weeks. Scott did not win with his players. They were all George recruits. The Nebraska experiment was a disaster. That said, so is the Matt Rhule experiment. Maybe it could work a second time? I am conflicted.
