there are NO actually good modern browsers

and i suspect there never will be again

all the established players either host their own ad network, are in bed with crypto, or have a hard-on for AI

i keep trying different browsers, the others suck more than firefox

i host a collection of browser-based tools ive written for a few little things, that store all user data in LocalStorage.
why?
because i want users to control their data. simple as.

my tools dont keep logs, dont have trackers, ads, or cookies

all they need to operate smoothly is LocalStorage

umm... 45€ buys 16KG ready-made ice cubes (here, ymmv). They are better ice & more convenient, but you get a lot more ice for your money if you do it yourself (and dont value your own time and convenience at all)

i hate to bring up into the spider-verse, its such an over-played reference for this, but it _IS_ a good one:
it uses mixed rates of animation (animating on two's, three's, even four's) to convey emotions, character details, etc.

it would _NOT_ be "better" with more intermediary frames of animation

animators, like most/all artist, work with purpose

if a motion isnt perfectly smooth or fluid, there is usually a reason for that
more rough/jerky/abrupt motion conveys a different feel than impeccably tweened, constantly flowing movement

both have their place, neither is "better"

i dont want to put words in keke's mouth, but this reminds me of a trend some years back of people running beautiful pixel-art animation from arcade games (esp fighting games) through AI-frame generation tools to "improve" them

it invariably looked worse; mushy & unnatural
