Yeah I suppose so, to some degree. Though all these little conflicts inevitably get subsumed by the big C faction conflict. They were all the little fissures that constantly open up and tend to only get explored when there’s open hostilities between Horde and Alliance.

I agree with you, but having seen how the community internalized conflict in the setting I’m genuinely kind of glad they’re taking this tack with the story. The community never felt more toxic than when faction conflict was in the forefront of WoW’s writing.
