We're super excited for our first Crafty Queers on Wednesday April 15th!
In preparation for our zine-making workshop, we've made a small zine to go over what zines are, and how to make them!
March 31st is Transgender Day of Visibility.
Today, we reflect not just on all of the progress we've made towards making trans life livable, but also on the progress that still needs to be made.
Buy trans art, protest transphobic policy, and show up for your community.
We hope to host more crafty nights in the future - have an idea and want to volunteer to lead us through a project? Reach out!
Get your tickets here:
Your $10 ticket includes supplies, good company, and a tasty treat from our friends at Oldhand! Register through our Eventbrite.
What's a zine? a "zeen" is a self-published booklet that can be about almost anything! Tell a story, share information, or showcase your artwork. We will be making 8-page zines folded from a single sheet of paper.
🌈Crafty Queers🌈
Pump up your creativity, my crafty, coffee-loving queers! Join us on April 15 at Oldhand Coffee (Langley) for a zine-making workshop!
Stop by the Timms Community Centre as part of Langley City's Village Café Series to learn more! Say hi to us between 11 am and 3 pm.
April 8th is the International Day of Pink 🩷
International Day of Pink is a worldwide movement against homophobia and transphobia based bullying and discrimination. This year's theme is 'Echo' - listening to queer voices from the past and present.

Thank you for all who have shown their support, shared our letter, or written to their local representative. We are proud to be part of such a supportive community.
Thank you to the members of the house who voted in support of this motion, and to Parliamentary Secretary Jennifer Blatherwick who wrote an affirming letter in response to ours earlier this week.
The 3 MLAs who voted in opposition are:
• Tara Armstrong (Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream)
• Dallas Brodie (Vancouver-Quilchena)
• Jordan Kealy (Peace River North
Today the NDP party brought a motion asking for the House to affirm its unequivocal support for the B.C. Human Rights Code and the Tribunal’s powers to enforce it.
After a 3 hour debate, the final vote was 83 to 3.
We never announced it, but the winner from our February 14th Valentines Day Mural Walk is Tara!
We'll be reaching out to set you up with your prize of 100 Downtown Dollars from the Downtown Langley Business Association.
We've got a new set of mingler bingo sheets (we call them Bingle Mingle) to spur conversation and get everyone talking.
Come join us on the 25th of March, starting at 6PM.
See you there!
This event is 19+
Camp Beer is wheelchair accessible, although a little tight in some hallways.
Camp beer is graciously hosting a space that should hold a good amount of us, and they also have food and drink for our individual guts to hold as well. We want to come back again, so you better tip the servers good!
Want to meet a stranger under the pale moonlight? Well, it's still a little too cold to do that comfortably, but you can still meet some strangers at our queer little Camp Beer mingler!
📢 Attention to Langley's local artists, small businesses, and community organizers: applications are now open to be a vendor at Langley Pride Day 2026!
We are expanding our market space this year and want to see you there on August 8. Check out the form here:

This event is all ages, but people under the age of 19 will have to leave after 8PM.
They'll have their kitchen and bar open so we can eat drink and be merry as well! See you there!

I bet your singing voice is way better than ours. Wanna put it to the test?
We've got a reservation at Newlands Bar and Grill where we can all melt away our worries and compliment each others high notes. We'll be belting from 5 to 9PM on March 15th.
Thank you for the nomination and support over this last year! ❤
Awards ceremony is on Match 4th in Abbotsford
We are proud to share that we are a nominee this year for two awards from the Fraser Valley Cultural and Diversity Awards!
It's an honour to see ourselves listed with so many great organizations for Inclusive Environment and Innovative Initiative.
The Langley Pride Society and the Langley Senior Resources Society are collaborating again on the second annual Langley Pride Day - and we need your support! Sponsorship support helps ensure this event remains accessible, celebratory, and meaningful for all in our community.

Weekly Radio Discussion: Our chair also co-hosts a weekly radio show that discusses current and historical events that have shaped our community. He would love to feature voices who can speak to this important part of Canadian history.
Langley Pride Day Panel: We are looking to form a speaking group to reflect on the Purge — exploring where we were, where we are now, and the memorial and government recognition that has taken place.
As part of ongoing efforts to honour those affected and ensure these stories are never forgotten, We am reaching out to connect with individuals who may be interested in sharing their experiences. There are two ways you might consider participating:
