So it's apparently normal to get BSOD every 2-3 days on laptops with DDR5 RAM and Windows 11? Specially when you leave it idle.

Considering migrating everything to a Desktop...

And if you need help with anything about the SNES - specially with the SA-1 - don't be afraid to ask me. While time is a limited resource, if I can at least give you a direction I will be glad to help you!

"This will take dozens hours of explanation" - No! Start with the simple. Let the people search. Let their curiosity and motivation drive this process. Just by giving them a basic direction already means a lot. Don't be afraid to help.

If you see someone trying to modify a game without any reference - don't be afraid to help them.

Everyone knows that editing games are complex. SNES games has compression; Its own formats. But people, specially motivated ones, can do anything that you can imagine. Help them!

Did you know that the SNES sound system supports surround sound? However, the current surround tech in our TVs and even on emulators doesn't produce the intended sound.

This includes for both hand-made surround or tech like Dolby Surround (e.g. Samurai Showdown).

Sounds a lot of potential.

Sim, até Atmos (som com elevação) parecido como o que temos com Widescreen.

Since MSU1 can hold raw 16-bit music data I believe it should be able to output Dolby Pro Logic II signal, you only have to request the player to tell the AVR to interpret the format.

Exactly, this is because emulators only interprets the audio sound as 2.0 digital signal where in reality it's meant to 4-5 ch virtual.

Having an option on emulators to convert Dolby Surround to the intended 5.1/Atmos/HRTF output and letting scalers also generate multi-ch digital PCM output would the next step for true audio experience.

Nope, do you have a link?

Do you have information about Apollo and Dyxen (is it Dyzen? -- I think I heard about it a few years ago)

Is the concern over LM due to it being closed source?

How is SMW hacking going recently?

Gave a look on SMW Central and saw that the community continues to be active as ever.

I wonder if there's any tool or ASM that the community is look for.

If you made or know any SMW ROM hack (with SA-1) that can be combined with another SMW ROM hack as a single bundle game, let me know.

By the way, which comparison video is your favorite?

6 months ago 11 0 2 0

2/2: Same movement, same behavior, same results. A intro acting different on SA-1 means that there is something wrong and I should fix that. But it ended up so fun watching that I decided to upload to YouTube them side-by-side instead of only uploading the SA-1 version.

Gradius III (SNES) - Original x SA-1 Comparison
Gradius III (SNES) - Original x SA-1 Comparison YouTube video by Vitor Vilela

Curiosity of the day: Gradius III Original vs. SA-1 is the most popular YouTube video on my channel. Originally I only recorded the comparisons as quality assurance work: if the game is properly ported to SA-1, then the intro *should* behave the same as original game. 1/2

Rebecca Heineman needs our help. She’s currently fighting cancer, and I can only imagine how hard that must be. Please consider supporting her.

Rebecca worked on many beloved SNES classics at Interplay -- including Another World, The Lost Vikings, Battle Chess and many more.

Hey, everyone.

It's been a while since I shared news here. Apologies, it's quite challenging maintaining multiple social medias while having so many real life duties.

How are you been all? Any interesting news in the last 1-2 years?

I promise to be more active here from now!
