I’ve spent the last 9+ months using AI coding tools heavily and I have thoughts:
• The harness is becoming more important than the model
• Agents are mostly code-writing loops with tools
• Code might be becoming the new assembler

Very much enjoyed reading that and I can say I pretty much agree on everything you write!

That number is burned into my consciousness. I inadvertently learned that you could see private conversations in public chat rooms when using Telnet instead of a browser on GeoCities. I can tell you the difference in audible dial-up handshakes between 1200, 2400, 14.4 kbps modems. I needed a edu email address to join Facebook after my university was admitted. We were here at the beginning. We made social media. You wouldn't be in my Top 8. I have usernames older than you. 852 Q62 G6 72
“I have usernames older than you.”.
Holy shit
OK, good sound is mandatory for that one
Loved it, although it shook me as well. Saw it in cinema?
that!
I'll probably never understand why anyone still takes him serious
Have you seen the Purbaya interview with Bloomberg last week at IES? I was there, let's say the foreign crowd did not appreciate his "style" to put it mildly...

25 years ago, @jahendler.bsky.social, web inventor @timbl.bsky.social, and early #AIagent expert Ora Lassila set out their #semanticWeb vision in Scientific American. Listen in on this fascinating behind-the-scenes account of the origins of their work.

Also wanting your own idea to "become a standard" often skips the hard part. In a proper standards process, others tear my ideas apart. It can be painful, but that friction is what makes the standard better.
Schöner Satz, werde ich mir merken.
holy shit are they for real
sounds great! Let me know in case this turns into something interesting :)
See the "Publications" on the bottom on the qlever.dev page. There is ongoing work on a general design paper as well but no ETA so far.
Also there is github.com/ad-freiburg/...
Super proud to share a new QLever milestone. We loaded one trillion triples on a single AMD Ryzen 9 machine with 16 cores and 128 GB RAM 🚀. Index size is 6.5 TB and the dataset runs even with less memory.

Hehehe got me 😉
Fully agree. I see LLMs as interpreter between humans and knowledge graphs but the answers should always come from a factual base in a KG and not from the LLM itself
show this to anyone else you know who also assumed DHH was just a normal conservative dude rather than a raging white supremacist lunatic
read it this morning, much appreciated!
Really great take about ojol and intel, never though of it that way but it makes so much sense
I have tried my very hardest to make this read about Indonesia's last 48 hours as accessible and easy to digest as possible. The goal here is that there is NO assumed knowledge (except for Jokowi, i think I always assume him sorry)

Read this. Millions of Indonesians are in the streets protesting the policies of a corrupt president and his legislative flunkies.

Ah nice tnx!
Good reflections, reminded me of the quote "I would have written a shorter letter, but did not have the time."
Apparently wrongly attributed to Twain, did not google enough to find the original though.

yeah it's insane. Maybe time for him to re-read The Mythical Man-Month...
