I'm reminded of that article today saying they can't find anyone competent in the DOJ to prosecute people and that regular defense lawyers are bouncing them around the block like they got "Spaulding" branded on their asses.

Breaking News: President Trump is said to be in talks to send Afghans who helped the U.S. war effort to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Ai remix feature in privacy settings on TikTok turned on
I am so upset right now, TikTok quietly added a feature which turns on an AI feature on all the TikTok’s you have already posted to allow Ai to remix and make content of your TikTok’s and I didn’t know, you must go to privacy settings on your TikToks to turn it off yourself, want to warn others 💔
"The Justice Department is pursuing cases against Trump's political enemies" should be stated as plainly as "The president ordered strikes against Iran." It's absurd to keep couching this in the "critics say" paradigm.
The peak of fear mongering. The author claims Ohio HB 249 will jail women for going braless in a T-shirt. HB 249 is about shielding kids from adult performances & imagery —not policing whether women wear bras, bikinis, or T-shirts. Twisting it into "women could be jailed for going braless" isn't just wrong —it's a deliberate misrepresentation. It's common sense to shield kids' innocence from adult performances & imaginary. Nothing but perversion - twisting a bill that aims to protect the innocence of children into something it's not. Do better.
Here's the thing:
If legislators didn't intend for HB 249 to be used against women wearing leggings and low-rise jeans, if they didn't mean for it to be used against trans people existing... THEY COULD FIX THE LANGUAGE.
They drafted it that way for a reason. It's naive to think they won't use it.
Seems like NYT should have mentioned that UAE's spymaster bought 49% of Trump's World Liberty Financial and used $2B of its USD1 stablecoin, directing hundreds of millions to Trump.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Media needs to stop with "critics say" and just quote the actual language of the bill.
HB 249 creates a new category of "seminudity" which can be used to arrest women who aren't nude, but are wearing clothing — leggings, t-shirts without bras — that religious groups feel is too provocative.
Devin Stone turned punchy legal explainers into a YouTube empire. Now he’s warning that the sheer volume of Trump administration scandals is distorting reality itself. www.wired.com/story/the-bi...
Fifteen minutes before the President announced he was pausing strikes on Iran, somebody moved $500 million in oil futures. Somebody knew. Somebody told them. Or somebody is them.

Hell, why have modern medicine in the military at all? Let's get back to vicious battlefield amputations. Anesthesia is woke.
Virginia voter: Trump has explicitly stated to state legislators, 'find me more seats.' As Democrats, we can't come to a boxing match where the other person brings a knife. That's the position we've been forced into
Sen. Jack Reed to Warsh as he dodges questions about divesting his assets: "Excuse me. I must commend you on the way you can circularly go around questions and not answer them. It's a skill. Unfortunately it's not a good skill for the chairman of the Fed."
So when it comes to beards and hairstyles, discipline requires strict conformity. When it comes to contracting and spreading a preventable illness that directly affects unit readiness, follow your bliss, man.
Conservatives think the state should protect them from the traumatizing experience of encountering people unlike them. For some reason this never came up in the heyday of “snowflake,” “trigger warning” or “safe space” discourse bsky.app/profile/kiss...
Tweet by “Secretary of War” Pete Hegseth: “The War Department is once again restoring freedom to our Joint Force. We are discarding the mandatory flu vaccine requirement, effective immediately.” Below there is a video of the announcement for his many, many illiterate fans
Behind Hegseth’s big stupid face, a painting can be seen.
The painting is of George Washington crossing the Delaware. It is by Emanuel Leutze.
An article from the National Parks Service: Smallpox, Inoculation, and the Revolutionary War Boston National Historical Park During the 1700s, smallpox raged through the American colonies and the Continental Army. Smallpox impacted the Continental Army severely during the Revolutionary War, so much so that George Washington mandated inoculation for all Continental soldiers in 1777. Just fifty-six years earlier, in 1721, Bostonian doctors and clergy introduced the procedure to the American colonies. Without the vision and determination of these early Bostonians in normalizing inoculation, Washington may not have made the decision to mandate inoculation for the Continental Army. Though it was a controversial action, many historians credit the medical mandate with the colonists' victory in the Revolutionary War and the creation of the United States of America.

2025 Politico headline: Trump on Texas redistricting: ‘We are entitled to 5 more seats’
John Gramlich skeet quoting Trump in NYT today: Trump: “I don’t know if you know what gerrymandering is, but it’s not good.”
A sowing/reaping for the ages
This is a horror.
Let's sum up Trump's tariffs.
1) They were illegal and also corrupt and arbitrary.
2) They did real damage to economy, esp farmers, small business.
3) Lutnick cheerled them while his spawn prepared to $$.
4) Corps (& some small businesses) finally getting refunds.
5) Consumers will get squat.
As a matter of principle, you can either have a dinner that celebrates the First Amendment or you can have a dinner that features Donald Trump. You can’t have both because the president holds the freedom of the press in contempt. www.mediamatters.org/donald-trump...
They not only won’t cancel; they’ve handed the entire event over to the fascists.
Stephen Miller and Pete Hegseth are sitting at CBS’ table.
FCC’s Brendan Carr has actually been invited, while he’s trying to take away press freedoms.
At some point, there needs to be an investigation into the construction costs of the bunker, and if gets that far, his stupid fucking arch, because if Trump hasn't tried to get kickbacks on it, I'll be genuinely surprised.
Every accusation of Trump's is a confession.
McCormick on Kash Patel: I’ve seen plenty of guys drink and have fun. When they are on their spare time, that’s their business. I bet you there are a lot of Americans out there who take offense to that. Does that mean I can’t go party with my friends and then go do my job during the week? I don’t think that’s fair.
Republicans tried to impeach Obama because he took his wife to a Broadway show on a Saturday night
