So what you’re saying is that it didn’t have him saying he really should have hired me
(That sounds fun! And weird.)

Does it show Kevin agonizing over not hiring me? No? Hmm
Last Tuesday there were suddenly three Xcel Energy trucks on our street and I was worried that power was going to go out imminently or something.
They're back this week too.
I've figured it out:
They're at Green Mill.
I am glad of this tradition.
Oh hey, yes, this is my theory too.
Alright, I’m home now so here’s the Norm update. Yesterday at 4pm, I got a text from a family I’ve been helping who had a loved one abducted a couple of days after Renée Good’s murder. This was the family that Norm Nation kept from being evicted (and you delivered). ICE had released their loved one.
Somewhat later than in some years, but celebrate accordingly:
My occasional reminder that (a) 3M once made fake blood for stage and screen, (b) it was non-staining and wildly successful, and (c) it was called, for some reason, Nextel.

maybe they mean alphabetically, on this continent, and only if you use "America" and not the actual name of the country
None of the sponsors appear to be sandwich shops, alas
If you wish to represent a syndicated children's radio show at an event aimed at whatever "America First journalists" means you just let me know
I think I'd need a special one for the "America First" version (or is this taking the place of the real one?)
Delighted to see Parker Woodland on the @frankturner.bsky.social Lost Evenings lineup for this fall. I plan to be there (and might have an announcement soon on that point as well). Never been, looks like a blast.

Oh that might be it
Grand memories
A photo of a photo of people in the men's room at First avenue. One guy is peeing. One is drinking a beer. A woman is standing with a guitar, laughing.
Terrible photo of a photo (in the restroom at Bar+Cart), but who is the musician hanging out in the First Ave men's room here?
On this day, thirteen years ago, the guy who scheduled weekends on WRSI made me backsell both Mayer Hawthorne and the Dead, after hearing me complain about both
Man, when you compare the bravery of every day Minnesotans to the overpaid cops it’s astounding
The Kelly Morrison campaign sent an email today identifying me as someone named Julie who lives in CD-03; I am in fact neither of those things
Stu from the Internet wrote about our Arkansas adventures.
@titonka.bsky.social this is at least adjacent to your beat, I believe.
I wonder how much they intended to be making a commentary by having the men‘s teams represented by a pest that feeds on plants that represent the women’s teams.
The University of Arkansas-Monticello’s men’s teams are the Boll Weevils and the women’s teams are the Cotton Blossoms.

Jill Riley said, “This next band also [in addition to Bob Mould] has Macalester connections” so I assumed it was going to be Walt Mink. I do not believe The Wallets have any connections to Macalester?
If there’s one population I trust to cautiously evaluate and balance risk and benefits of healthcare products, it is former pro wrestlers
Someone from “Reaper Fitness Group Inc.” has now hit reply all to promote his supplement business featuring former wrestlers
This appears to basically be the As and Bs of a list of radio email addresses, so I don't see any fun stuff like "here's how to email Jake Tapper," alas
It has got to be a weird thing to be an in-house lawyer at Palantir
A screen shot from the trailer with someone wearing what I think is a UW-Stout sweatshirt.
Happy 30th anniversary to the release of #MST3K: The Movie. I am reasonably confident that it is the only movie in history to include a UW-Stout sweatshirt.
(At least I think that’s what we’re seeing here.)
