Publishers have been unable to appreciate my genius for a couple of years now, so I am about to launch myself headfirst down the luge track of self publishing. Does anybody have any advice to bestow, resources to point at, warnings to whisper/yell or think there’s anything else I should know?

Have sung A Spaceman Came Travelling by Chris De Burgh to my children as a bedtime song perhaps 1000 times. Today we were playing Christmas songs and I put Spaceman Came Travelling on. They said that’s not a Christmas song! Turns out they have never ever listened to the lyrics.

Started a new fitness drive 2 months ago, when my Apple Watch said I was just above average fitness. Have eaten sensibly and exercised for at least half an hour every day since. Watch now tells me that I am below average fitness. Not inspirational. Have put a kilo of fudge on next supermarket order

A month ago, I caught the Rest is Entertainment podcast with Marina Hyde and Richard Osman. Since then have binge listened from episode one and nearly caught up. Recommend strongly to lovers of tv, books, games, films and general easy listening intelligent informative chat.
