My 11 year old has just written me a letter asking me to buy her a new toy. She has signed off “Kind regards”. Clearly I have offended her somehow.

Just picked up my first pair of varifocals and returned to my desk. First email I read was an invitation to a series of webinars called “Ageing Well”. 👵🏻😬

Just on my way back from a really enjoyable #MDGAGM2024. Hannes Lowagie’s talk managed to be both useful and inspiring, and it was great to get to talk to metadata people in person. Also, A+ miniature cakes!

We have them every year. Current view from my sofa (apologies for the state of it, but I’m lazy). Can’t add ALT text, but it is a photo of a house interior decorated for Christmas.

My day trip to Birmingham for the UKSG Forum hits its first snag - train from London has been cancelled and I’ll now miss registration. Sigh.
