I’ve seen conversations where people were investigating during his presidential run but once he dropped his bid, people were less willing to come forward. Just asking to understand the difficulty in publishing, just because it’s not published doesn’t mean it’s not being investigated.
Knowing about it and publishing a story about it are 2 different animals. You can’t publish a story based on hearsay, you need survivors to go on the record.

This right here is why, if you want to be mad at reporters right now, you should take a step back. Your real anger should be towards Swalwell—and those on the Hill who knew things, didn’t want to know things, or had reason to suspect things but either ignored it or excused it.

Take a look at the CNN sourcing and fact-checking on their Swalwell article. Look at how many extra people they contacted in order to corroborate claims. They viewed screenshots, called parents/husbands/friends/colleagues. They viewed TV footage and interviews, & more. Two things worth pointing out:
