I know some insects die after reproducing. Maybe this is the case for beetles too?

I mean, it is true for some insects. Cicadas and antlions for instance spent the majority of their lives in their nymph/larval stage and only really exist as adults to breed.. But yeah….

Yeah! You could try to study it and see if you can come up with at least a hypothesis. Look at other insects who also developed live birth and why they might have done it. You got em(the beetles) near you and quite literally the largest fountain of human knowledge at your fingertips.

I mean, isn’t like, almost all of science just learning? Learning methodically, then applying said knowledge?

I mean. You got a perfect research question already. You could write a paper or something.

Is the learning not a benefit in itself? We would know more about the species, and knowledge would be more widely available. This could help with understanding related species, too. And I’m not too sure about the spreading information part, but I’m sure there’s a way!

Be the documentation. Become an expert on this specific type of beetle.

I always found it weird how little OJ seemed to mind the fact that ‘Bow’ was suddenly ‘alive’ again in s3. I guess he was preoccupied with his team, but still.

Nope! They’re his pride and joy.

He’s got a love for plants despite being a carnivore, and has a garden which he tries VERY hard to maintain and protect.

Despite one of his animal components being a narwhal, he’s not a great swimmer and isn’t a fan of water (though he supposes hot springs are okay).

Haven’t finalised his design, but here’s a doodle of an oc I’ve had in my mind for a while. He’s pretty chill!
