I’ve lately been wondering why Trump won’t just gazump those on the left calling to expand the court. Rs have a majority in Congress…why would they not do this now and pack the court with conservatives/maga? Ds could counter of course, but getting rid of confirmed maga justices seems a lot harder.

The teensiest baby painted turtle is being gently held between my thumb and forefinger. It’s less than 2 inches in diameter. Its head is barely peeking out of its shell, and its tiny little flippers are sticking out to either side. Its shell is a muddy blackish brown, but if you zoom in you can see faint red markings like little fingernail tips around the outer edge of its shell. So cute!

Teeny tiny baby painted turtle I found on the footpath near a pond I like to walk around! I suuuuper wish I could have put it in my pocket to be my little turtle friendo, but I left it in a hopefully safe place near the pond, where it could hide in the reeds and leaves if it wanted to.

I feel bad for people named Al (capital A lowercase L) these days. Weird Al Yankovic, Al Green, Al Pacino, Al Gore… It always takes me a sec to realize it’s not saying “a.i.” Goddammit.
