I just voted—again—for a War Powers Resolution aimed at permanently ending the reckless, illegal war in Iran. Delawareans are fed up with rising costs because of this president's actions—so I will keep voting to end this war of choice at every possible turn.
On this #TaxDay, my neighbors are facing broken promise after broken promise: 65% smaller refunds than promised, spiking health care premiums, and rising costs across the board—all while billionaires get a pay day. Americans are worse off today than they were before the Big Ugly Bill became law.

Financial literacy skills are essential in preparing our students for their future. It was wonderful to see the work the Junior Achievement of Delaware’s Experiential Learning Center is doing to invest in our young citizens and their future.
Our beaches are not just vital drivers of tourism in Sussex County, they provide vital protections for my neighbors that call eastern Sussex home. The Indian River Inlet Sand Bypass System is a critical piece of that work—protecting and strengthening a cherished natural resource of our state.

1/ House Democrats just attempted to bring a War Powers resolution before the House to force an end to the war of choice in Iran by this President. But Republicans in Congress wouldn't even hear the measure.
2/ Republicans in Congress have the power to stop this war—and they’re choosing to stay silent and do nothing.
1/ An update on the war in Iran. It’s a longer video, but here’s the bottom line: we are not safer. We are not more respected. We are poorer. U.S. servicemembers have died. And our adversaries are stronger.
In a political career defined by grotesque statements, this president’s horrifying, illegal, and genocidal threat this morning is among the most dangerous and appalling. You can’t shout “fire” in a crowded theater and a president cannot be allowed to threaten genocide with the United States military. Threats of war crimes and disregard for human life must be met with accountability under the law. Trump must go—and Republicans, whether in the Cabinet or Congress, must join Democrats in using any and all constitutional powers at our collective disposal to end this illegal war and take the gun out of this madman’s hands.

I am sick and tired of Republican politicians telling us not to believe our lying eyes and that we should take the president figuratively and not literally, all because they want to avoid actually engaging with the substance of what this president is doing and saying.
To those who are observing, I am wishing a peaceful Good Friday—a moment to reflect on sacrifice and the enduring power of faith.
This reckless war of choice must end to avoid the potential of more loss of life and to protect our neighbors.
