fab was working on a pve mode but priorities shifted and it's on the backburner now (hopefully not cancelled)

for fab it's a matter of dev resources as a fairly small company and the primary audience is more competitive

hasbro/wotc could certainly devote resources towards it but they have edh

I can trade you a ZA delphox alter, been monitoring pokemon home trying to grab the ZA starters (and an eternal floette but that's considerably harder)

correct, I believe it's all calc'ed with max value (fwiw), but it means no min-maxing speed/attack IVs

Also, for now at least, the pool of mons/items is pretty restricted

Very excited for the mobile release in June cuz I've wanted to learn/get better at pokemon pvp and lugging around a console to play is a barrier

Pokemon is moving all VGC gameplay to this new game, and it is easier to get and train mons than anywhere else (outside of genning if you ignore all the setup)

It's the online ladder you find in the new mainline games, made a ton more accessible and with pretty snappy animations

champs mobile is going to ruin me

honestly had a harder time with upkeep stuff (primarily tucking pitch end of turn) than any rules, 10 years of mtg gave a solid foundation once I made mental adjustments

really depends on what you want to do. Chane is pretty strong, I think Dash I/O looks fun, you get to take a big combo turn with a bunch of pistol shots and resetting cerebellum processors

just to clarify you won a Pro Quest right? If so you didn't get a Professional Tournament Invite (PTI colloquially, transferrable, usable for any pro event), you won an non-transferrable invite to Pro Tour Vegas specifically, so that PTI number isn't going to update 😅

academic, such a great deckbox for fab

one thing you can do is weave turns like

use 3 cards, arsenal
use 5 cards
repeat

and hope your wide turns can get past their blocks

yeah, dash/boost mech into a block-heavy deck is tough and usually goes just like that unless you have some way to push over (which she lacks in sage)

dash will usually just no block unless you have clunky cards like I described. she can at least block better than some aggro decks (mostly 3s vs 2s)

there's also an aspect of calculating your turn and figuring out if you have any dead cards you can use to block, ideally every turn you draw 4 at the end but sometimes you just get stuck with something leftover in hand (or you don't want to arsenal)
