Thanks!
MS. Not known for clarity (esp. around pricing/licensing)

I read that twice and didn’t see anything about how one migrates a Gen1 dataflow to Gen2. Am I missing something?
I had to uninstall MS Copilot in order to allow Excel to recognise my mouse clicks. Good job lads. Good job.
Excellent suggestion. I’ll pass it along! Thank you!
Mate’s in the middle of a go-live and has found a weird bug
They have some custom roles set up. A user has found that in one role they can create a new Project Planning Line but in another, they can’t. Error says Project Task No. Is required. Permissions are by user so what’s going on? #MSDyn365BC
One hundred percent. 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah. You sit a short test for renewal (which is free). Now i have to pay £106 and sit the exam again. I’m an idiot! 🤣🤣🤣
Aaaaahhhh!!!
MB-800 expired on the 4th. I thought I had until the end if the month. Now I have to sit an exam!
Yeah it was about Intercompany setup and operation. Something I’ve done a fair bit of. I refreshed my previous stuff to reflect all the streamling and improvements in BC over recent years.

Not doing THAT again!
I got asked to speak at a “thing” that I’ve spoken at before. I’ve spent a couple of days of personal time preparing slide decks and demo environments
The organiser has been uncommunicative to put it lightly (unlike previous occasions). The agenda is out and I’m not on it
I’m somewhat pissed off
I’ve given up trying to understand what Fabric is.
I think it’s for the young people.
I’ve been able to create US and Netherlands environments so I can help my customers with VAT and sales tax set up.
I use them to test features on new release waves and train my colleagues.
Astonishing that this is something I’ve basically had to cheat MS to get.
I have two such tenants both of which have been on the go for over six years.
One upon a time you could create a free M365 developer environment and then use the email address/es to start a BC trial. As we all know, a BC trial never runs out if you don’t use Production. The multiple “users” you get with the M365 enables you to test approval flows and permission and roles.
Start Time (Use dynamic content/Expression): Concat(formatDateTime(utcNow(),'yyyy-MM-dd'),'T17:00:00+08:00Z') • End Time (Use dynamic content/Expression): Concat(if(equals(dayOfWeek(utcNow()),5),formatDateTime(addDays(utcNow(),3),'yyyy-MM-dd'),formatDateTime(addDays(utcNow(),1),'yyyy-MM-dd')),'T07:59:59+08:00Z')
I’ve read a couple of articles about #PowerAutomate flows to automate the setting of an out of office in Outlook. However the formulas they recommend for start/end date times all feature utcNow() but in ways that make no sense. It’s volatile so would need to be part of an extended if statement no?
Oi. Microsoft. Put back the option to send #MSDyn365BC reports to excel data AND layout.
You scamps.
In case anyone was interested, the issue preventing VAT Returns being done from #MSDyn365BC in the UK was that the GovTalk app hadn’t been updated for v27
God no!
A lot of the MVPs don’t post here anymore. Steve Endow never arrived and Jeremy, Kristen, Shannon, Christian and others hardly ever post.
Yeah but customers tended to not be on Twitter. Plus I couldn’t stay there once Musk started making increasingly destabilising changes to the platform
Shame. We had really good thing going there
You can’t ask for help on LinkedIn because it’s a b2b platform so the likelihood is that the customer who you’re doing the work is also there.
LinkedIn is vile. It’s a platform for self aggrandisement and no place for the kind of supportive warm community we built on Twitter.
Anyone else having fun with MTD and the VAT Statement box numbers?

That new logo is a bit copiloty
Does that mean the copilot elements are going to be useful.
Or…not.
(Rhetorical question)
Inspirational quote style photo with the wording, “Was it DNS again? Yes. Yes it was.”
I’m migrating my client from a heavily modified Navision 5 to BC SaaS so it’s not straightforward.
But your suggestion is really helpful thank you
I just needed “unputdownable” for bingo
