📍🇨🇼Curaçao. What a spot.
Taking in training of Jong Holland’s Academy in Curacao, while the senior team prepares for the domestic playoffs.
Stories coming on the smallest nation heading to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Canada’s pathway to the 2027 Women’s World Cup has been determined.
All it takes is a Nov. 28 win against Panama at the Conrad W Championship and they’re in.
The tournament twill be held in Texas with the final on Dec. 5 in Houston.
The #CanWNT moves up in the FIFA Rankings after two wins against South Korea and Zambia at the FIFA Series.
Certainly a lot more life in the program after those results — they’re up to No. 9 in the world.
The games had potential to bump them out of the top 10.
NEW: The Vancouver Whitecaps and San Jose Earthquakes are cruising in the MLS Western Conference with seven wins in their first eight games.
And why Miami's win was actually not so great.

Alphonso Davies GOAL!
The #CanMNT captain scores his first goal in over a year with a sweet finish against VFB Stuttgart.
His first start today since he picked up an injury in February.
54 days until the World Cup.
Some good #CanMNT injury updates today — Luc De Fougerolles is back.
The centre back who had been dealing with a nagging injury returned as a sub in the 60th minute in FCV Dender’s 4-1 loss to Cercle Brugge.
26 touches and six passes into the final third.
The Canadian Premier League saw its first use of the daylight offside rule, drawing eyes from around the world to a match between Halifax and Pacific FC.
Personally am not much of a fan of the new rule and don’t see much reason.

The Vancouver Goldneyes are out of running for the PWHL playoffs and will use the last two games of the season to contend for the first overall pick.
4 goal game from Jenn Gardiner today in a 6-5 OT win (2 points), but that wasn’t enough to stay alive.
I don't know how Maxi Falcón is Miami's go-to center back.
He spends more time sprinting back from being out of position than he does defending. Micael hasn't been much better as of late.
Tough scenes for #CanMNT Dayne St. Clair.
Red Bull New York is such a strange team this season — one week they're dominating Inter Miami and the next, they're losing 4–1 to CF Montréal.
Teenage talents are impressive, but my goodness, can they be unpredictable.
Tidy day for CF MTL.
Good to see #CanMNT Stephen Afrifa give Sporting Kansas City a bit of life in the second half against the Whitecaps.
Whitecaps remain atop MLS for another week — and there’s lots of work to do for SKC’s rebuild.
Score 3-0, shots 25-2 for Vancouver.
Sporting Kansas City are not exactly competitive with the top of MLS.
3-0 at the end of the first half against Vancouver. #VWFC has 17-0 shot lead.
KC is an incredible MLS market — hope they can get back to competitive ways under the new ownership.
NEW: With two interim coaches making their debut in Montreal and Miami + the incredibly competitive Western Conference, it’s a big week for MLS.
✍️My previews and predictions for every match in my latest for @SInow
Starting tonight with #VWFC vs SKC.

Vancouver Canucks president of hockey operations Jim Rutherford admitted that he knew that Quinn Hughes would not re-sign in Vancouver.
It sparked the full commitment to the rebuild and bottom-out effort.

NEW: Matt Wells has the Colorado Rapids believing that they can win MLS Cup — and instilling that belief has been his biggest challenge as a first-time head coach after spells as a Premier League assistant.

With tailgating outside American parking-lot heavy stadiums limited, the downtown stadiums — both of Canada’s included — could be the best vibes of the World Cup.
Still all of the downtown bars for free viewing, pre/post-match + Canada Soccer Houses in Downtown Toronto
Toronto FIFA FanZone will charge between $10-$300, becoming the latest one to switch from free - Many U.S. cities have cancelled altogether.
Vancouver has some free, some at $65 and some at $103.
Canada Soccer Houses in both cities remain free.

Cyle Larin’s outstanding form continued for Southampton with his second goal in three games and sixth for the club.
Here's hoping he can figure out a way to do it with the #CanMNT.
The thought of Vancouver exploring the idea of MLB, instead of sorting out the Whitecaps situation is quite absurd.
Vancouver simply isn’t a worthwhile market for MLB at this point — there’s already a strong Jays and Mariners following.

Inter Miami and head coach Javier Mascherano have parted ways, becoming the third MLS coach split of the season.
The club says Mascherano left for “personal reasons,” which interestingly is the same wording from Tata Martino’s 2024 parting of ways.

NEW: The top of the MLS table and power rankings is crazy right now, while the bottom has already seen two coach firings after seven weeks.
My cross-league breakdown in the latest @SInow MLS Power Rankings.

A good day for #CanMNT talents in Europe.
- Ismaël Koné netted his sixth goal of the season in Sassuolo’s loss to Genoa.
- Tani Oluwaseyi picked up an assist for Villarreal, his fourth La Liga goal contribution in a 2-1 win
- Theo Bair went the full 90 minutes for Lausanne.
Managerial shifts in Canadian soccer as CF Montreal have parted ways with head coach Marco Donadel after picking up just three points in seven games.
Philippe Eullaffroy takes over as interim head coach.
They’ve never had a head coach get to three seasons.
For all the superstars and talk of superteams in MLS, it is pretty wild that the Supporters' Shield table looks like this after seven weeks in 2026.
The most competitive league in the world.
Well, that isn't great news for the already injury-ridden #CanMNT
A myofascial tear, depending on its grade, can take anywhere from 7 days to 6 weeks to heal.
If it's six weeks, that's May 23 — one week before the World Cup roster is due.
NEW: The MLS teenagers are flying high this year, and Jude Terry just became the latest one to impress, despite LAFC's loss to the Portland Timbers.
Farewell to LAFC's perfect record and clean sheet streak.
My latest for @SInow
www.si.com/soccer/lafc-...
LAFC’s perfect record and clean sheet streak is done in dramatic fashion as Portland lean on a 90th minute 2-1 winner.
This goal from 17-year-old Jude Terry is something else, though.
Vancouver can move atop the west with a win v NYCFC this afternoon.
A victory to start the FIFA Series for the #CanWNT, downing a depleted Zambia side 4-0 with braces from Annabelle Chukwu and Nichelle Prince.
Chukwu's first CanWNT goals.
Canada needs a decent window to remain top 10 in the world.
The newest CPL team, FC Supra, with only players from Québec gets started today on Vancouver Island.
An intriguing roster build for sure, but no doubt a very cool one if it works out.
FC Supra vs. Pacific FC at 3:00pm on CPL Week 2.

The #CanWNT returns today for the first part of the three-match FIFA Series window in Brazil.
They’ll face a Zambia side missing several key players while Canada have Kadeisha Buchanan in camp for the first time since October 2024.
Kickoff at 2:30pm ET.
