Franklin Graham: "I hope Stephen Hawking did not miss the simple truth that God is the Creator of the universe he loved to study and everything in it." God: "Stephen just told Me to tell you to fuck off. "Also, your father is burning in hell." Satan: "Can confirm"

Concetta Caristo is a comedian who has appeared on shows like The Weekly.
Gary Sweet is an actor, known to me from Police Rescue 30+ years ago.
Luke Bateman I had to look up. Former Thugby League player turned contestant on The Batchelors.
So yeah, 'celebrity' is over-egging it a bit.😀
Getting a serene picture of a Shetland pony isn't easy when they are so friendly 😂

Kentucky Colonels came up earlier in the feed.
Reminded me of one group of Kentucky Colonels who came from California via Maine, and who AFAIK never vomited on their shoes in the urinals at the Churchill Downs racecourse.

Snippet from Hunter S. Thompson's article The Kentucky Derby Is Decadent And Depraved: "Steadman wanted to see some Kentucky Colonels, but he wasn't sure what they looked like. I told him to go back to the clubhouse men's rooms and look for men in white linen suits vomiting in the urinals. “They'll usually have large brown whiskey stains on the fronts of their suits,” I said. “But watch the shoes, that's the tip-off. Most of them manage to avoid vomiting on their own clothes, but they never miss their shoes.”"
Kentucky native Hunter S. Thompson had Kentucky colonels sussed:
Outside, the patient millions
Who put them into power
Expect a little more back for their taxes
Like school books, beds in hospitals
And peace in our bloody time
All they get is old men grinding axes
IIRC Sussan also claimed that she became a big fan of Margaret Thatcher, and her policies, in that era.
Never mind that 'Thatcherite punk' is an oxymoron that's up there with 'celibate pornstar' and 'Protestant Pope'.

Always read the fine print:
"GDP figures are in current U.S. dollars (not adjusted for inflation)"
Does anyone want to have another go at this, except with PPP and inflation adjustment? I would, but I have to trim my toenails tonight.

Cover of the gospel album The Joy Of Knowing Jesus by The Reveleaires. Five people in red suits stand around an outdoor pulpit featuring a large cross.
Liner notes from the album The Joy Of Knowing Jesus by The Revelaires. THEY SING FROM THE HEART! How many times have you heard this tired, time-worn statement said of some Gospel singing group only to realize quickly ... that was just not so? Many times I'm certain, especially if you have been around, in and part of Gospel music as I have. Now, though, I can say without reservation ... THE REVELAIRES SING FROM THE HEART! I have not been moved very often by singing groups, but here is a combination of sincere singers and piano accompaniment that can make me listen! Chill bumps appear and I am frozen in the web as they reveal their innermost selves with the outpouring of their hearts extolling God's great love with pure devotion and adoration. Reverend Bill Funderburk sings "He Cared That Much For Me"; Charles Surratt introduces his own composition "On Calvary For Me"; "The Joy Of Knowing Jesus" is a song of pure delight featuring John Barbee; the pure tenor quality of the voice of Harold Montgomery gives a special interpretation to the grand old hymn "The Old Rugged Cross; ... on and on the songs roll and soon you are caught up in the sermon in each rendition as you come to feel the devotion and dedication that is poured forth. Suddenly, you know they are real, they mean it! "Let your light so shine..." could not be more aptly applied as there shines a light from heaven on your heart through their singing as you are showered with blessings. Rhonda Montgomery exemplifies piano artistry. An accompanist that is truly an artist who know when to play and when not to play lest the spell be broken. That's Rhonda! An artist! This album of gospel songs can be the instrument to mend a broken heart or to straighten out your life. You will be introduced to Jesus through the sincere testimony in the songs of THE REVELAIRES. A must! J. ELMO FAGG (Founder and leader of THE BLUE RIDGE QUARTET for 33 years)
This is the album from which Stipe borrowed the 'lyrics':
From the liner notes of R.E.M.'s contractual-obligation album Dead Letter Office: WALTERS THEME KING OF THE ROAD I suppose that if we had any shame we would have never allowed this little gem to see the light of day. This was recorded at the vey end of a long alcohol soaked day, and I casn barely remember cutting it. The first part was an attempt at writing a commercial for Walters Bar-B-Q. The second part is King of the Road, kind of. If there was any justice in the world, Roger Miller should be able to sue us for what we did to this song. Well, not a very uplifting way to end the album, but somehow appropriate. As [disgraced former manager] Jefferson [Holt] is wont to say "A little bit of Uh huh and a whole lot of Oh yeah." See ya'll later [signed] Peter Buck
Love the way Mills shouts the chord changes to Buck.
I bought Dead Letter Office because the CD version was the only way to acquire the Chronic Town EP in Austalia. The transition from King Of The Road to Wolves, Lower is a case of "from the ridiculous to the sublime".
