For slightly over a year, Joost de Valk and I have been trying to get FAIR "off the ground" for the WordPress ecosystem. We have now come to the conclusion that funding this effort is not going to happen. But... there's a silver lining!

In St. Pete for BOYE & Co CMS Experts, where I had the chance to speak about digital sovereignty.
The questions and hallway conversations confirmed what many organizations are starting to recognize: infrastructure choices are strategic decisions, with real operational and geopolitical implications.
Pisa last week, Germany this week, and now off to WordCamp Netherlands. This time I’ll be joining Joost De Valk to talk about WordPress security and how our FAIR initiative helps to keep WordPress secure at scale.
I’m honored to be speaking at T3CON25, where I’ll be exploring the changes in the enterprise CMS landscape, and how an open source renaissance can define the future of European enterprise.
Excited to be heading to WordCamp Pisa this weekend to hear talks from Joost De Valk and Taco Verdonschot! Really looking forward to what they have to share!
It’s also a great opportunity to meet fellow Italians in the WordPress space and support the Italian WordPress community.
Ci vediamo a Pisa!
@marucchi.com is helping the launch the FAIR Project.
Karim's helped some of the largest companies in the world move to WordPress. Those companies love the control and ownership that WordPress provides.
Here's why FAIR is another step forward for us, and them ⬇️
$8.8 trillion.
That’s the estimated economic value of open source software, according to a new report commissioned by the

Thank you @mikelittle.com! The Fair TSC team is doing amazing work and now that we are talking to hosts, there is so much we can do for the evolution of #WordPress
Yup….
Introducing FAIR for #WordPress! I've detailed the journey from concern to action, explaining how this new decentralized distribution layer (definitely not a fork!) aims to enhance security, compliance, and the plugin economy.

The travel season is here...but planning looks nothing like it used to. AI is changing how people search, plan, and book. The question isn’t if you’ll adapt, but how fast. I sat down with Peter Ladka, CEO of Sherpera Consulting, to talk all about it.

Why is Open Source still so underrepresented in analyst reports like Gartner’s DXP Magic Quadrant?
In the final part of my conversation with Dan Drapeau, we dive into that question and more!

Recently sat down with Dan Drapeau and we unpacked what composable really means, and why not every platform that says it's composable is actually delivering. We also talked about what’s working, what’s not, and how open source is shaping the future of digital experiences.

Let’s be clear: @joost.blog and I asked for and proposed changes inside the #WordPress project.
*We* did not talk about a fork.
Adding…
You have been a backbone of this project since before I joined it, and the entire #WordPress project should be grateful for your contributions. Hard stop.
To clarify, I was speaking about the Drupal project and association, I recognize you’re speaking about the for-profit Aquia..
I see good lessons and bad, Dries even states “Drupal's credit system certainly isn't perfect.” & “The Drupal Association continually works to improve the system, aiming for a credit structure that genuinely drives positive behavior.” My point, they are trying & experimenting! dri.es/solving-the-...
The La Quinta resort about 15 minutes away. Pros: comfortable resort. Cons: you don’t get to sleep out on the ground and wake up without a good breakfast coffee being made for you.😉
I believe #WordPress can grow stronger and more inclusive, working together to maintain the #OpenSource spirit that unites us all.

Joost wants to "hold this community together" and I stand with him in that effort.
