The commentary is a holdover from the days of radio. It was needed then. It isn't needed now. At least give us the option. I want the arena audio, that's it.
Not to take anything away from the great sports commentators, but honestly they're few and far between.

Watching the Stanley Cup Playoffs I am reminded how much I wish I could get a TV feed with audio from the arena but with no play by play or commentary when it comes to live sports broadcasts.
When I'm at the game there's no play by play and I don't miss it.
Recipe from Mandy Lee's The Art of Escapism Cooking. Four pages of ingredients and instructions. The mole alone has 22 ingredients. Took hours but was a fun, interesting cook and turned out great. Will be making this again.
We've been busy. Kori-Mex bibimbap with minced beef mole. Over rice and topped with an egg yolk, and six banchans: salsa, kimchi, avocado, mushroom, cucumber and nopales. Photos taken moments before stirring it together. So good. @riverofcrows.bsky.social π½οΈπ³
Baked scrambled eggs with roast beef, onion, horseradish, blue cheese and cream. Molten lava lake in the centre for dipping our fried bread into. π³

The greatest compliment a person can receive is the trust of an animal.
To be fair the series is as light as a helium balloon, and it's rollicking good fun but it's mixed with intense Victorian surgery scenes - an odd mix but it works.
We've been watching The Artful Dodger, which I'm enjoying a lot. The premise is brilliant, take the Dodger and Fagan, ostensibly villains in Oliver Twist but easily the book's most interesting characters, and continue their story in the colonies.
Those who get it should appreciate this.
So is the Democratic party still a thing or what?
Restaurants and cafΓ©s here never have televisions. Some pubs do but only to show sports or they're off. I find the idea of news in a pub repellent. People deserve time free from the news.
When I was in Chicago a couple years ago I noticed every bar, most cafΓ©s and restaurants, even shopping malls, had TVs tuned to the news, which was mostly political discourse. It was inescapable.
I think about our government maybe once or twice a month and never for long. Being an American right now must be fucking exhausting because it never lets up.
More farewell parties tonight. I might be having farewell party burnout. That's a hell of a thing to have burnout for.
Pillow or cat?
Reusing and repurposing art assets in video game development is harmless and keeps costs down. Insisting everything be built from scratch just skyrockets development costs and development time which helps no one.
Ah yes. Assassin's Creed Valhalla, that game where you play as a dude in a bookshop.

It's watching me while I eat breakfast. I swear I saw it move.
Moose carpaccio, parsnip cream, oyster mushrooms, sunflower seeds. This was incredible. It tastes like the forest. Ardbeg Embassy in Gamla Stan. I will be back.
