Hi Andrew- The final bill included an amendment that strictly limited data that can be shared and specifically excludes information related to LGBTQ+ protected status. If this was not included I would have voted against the bill.

Voters passed Fair Share in 2022 to fund schools, roads, and public transit. It’s delivering. This year’s supplemental budget I secured Fair Share funding for Webster Square congestion relief and the Leicester medical rides program. #MAPoli #MALeg

For Black History Month, the Worcester Center for Crafts presents “I Declare,” featuring district artist Jennifer Carey. As we mark 250 years of the U.S. and 100 years of Black History Month, the exhibit holds joy alongside the truth that freedom has too often been delayed or denied. #MAPoli #MALeg
The MA House has passed legislation to require AEDs and trained responders at public sporting events.
A commonsense step to strengthen safety and save lives. Grateful to the families and advocates who pushed this forward. #MAPoli #MALeg

At a time when the federal government is dismantling worker protections, Massachusetts is investing in its people. The PATHS Act strengthens our apprenticeship system and ensures public construction projects create sustainable jobs that foster real career pathways. #MAPoli #MALeg

The Holocaust reminds us of what can happen when people stay silent as injustice unfolds. Keep speaking out against state sanctioned murder. Keep speaking out against the dehumanization of our neighbors. Keep speaking out and taking action to honor humanity.
This month’s office hours in Leicester will be on Saturday 1/24 at the Leicester Public Library from 10-11:30am. #MAPoli #MALeg

It is MLK Day.
Masked kidnappings and scapegoating immigrants are not consistent with what we claim to honor today.
The MA House passed critical legislation to better support foster youth. The bill includes my work to set clear school enrollment timelines and speed record transfers so students do not fall through the cracks. A major step forward. Now onto the Senate #MAPoli #MALeg
I stand with the people of Minnesota in grief, in solidarity, and in the call for justice.
This did not occur in a vacuum. It is the result of immigration policies that prioritize force over humanity and allow ICE to operate with deep disregard for the communities it enters. When policies normalize aggression and silence accountability, the consequences are deadly.
When someone is harmed while simply exercising their constitutional rights, it reflects a profound failure of judgment and accountability by those entrusted with authority.
The killing of Renee Nicole Good, who was acting as a volunteer legal observer documenting ICE activity, is a devastating tragedy that never should have happened.
We saw what happened with Iraq, we do not need to send our neighbors into war in Latin America. And most importantly, it is irresponsible to threaten our neighbors and allies with military action, many of them who have absolutely nothing to do with the Maduro regime.
You can be glad Maduro is out of power while also being angry that our government prioritized military intervention, threats to countries, and acquiescence to oil companies over funding healthcare, food security, and early education.
Massachusetts did the right thing by standing up the emergency shelter system to support everyone- not only new arrivals but the ballooning number of long-term Massachusetts residents who experience homelessness because of skyrocketing housing costs.
Many families from Venezuela came to MA because they feared for their lives These same families were frequently vilified as “animals” & “criminals” when they sought refuge from a crisis. The irony isn’t lost that many who demonized refugees are celebrating Trump’s military actions.
Wishing everyone a happy and healthy New Year 🎉🥳
