What is this witchery of which you speak 🙀

Why, why when I reply to an email thread in the Apple mail app, if I was the last sender, does it reply to myself?

They’ve got it programmed so that it gives me a follow up prompt a few hours later so that I realize that that’s what happened, but it shouldn’t do that to begin with!

Nothing like filing my taxes the night before the deadline to make me feel like I’m in school again.

Am also a FreeTaxUSA convert. Platform was so much easier than TurboTax. Bless them.

You know the story of this photograph? It was taken outside the back door of the theater. She had to wait for him to come out for some
time. He notoriously hated photographs. He said she could take three shots, though she managed five.

Her portraits are so compelling. Some of my favorites.

Roo, née Tess, a brown tabby with a lot of white, asleep on a knitted blanket with her paws all in one spot and her nose tucked amidst them. She looks—and is—very soft.

I constantly have to explain to people that my cat’s Real Name is Tess (short for Madam Tesseract Jack, which is another story), but I mostly call her Roo.

Tess > Tessa > Tessaroo > Roo > Roobear, Roobird > Rooskaroo . . .

I was fine-dining adjacent.

All my friends in fine dining can’t watch The Bear.

A starfield filled with thousands of stars and shining clouds of dust. The Milky Way\u2019s elegant spiral structure is dominated by just two arms wrapping off the ends of a central bar of stars. They’re really excellent. A gateway drug, except I can’t find a refillable fountain pen I like as much. 🤦🏻‍♀️

And the purple is perfect and I haven’t found a dupe for that, either.

Mamdani is not just filling the potholes with the crew. He's creating a visual and personal reminder of the dignity inherent in all of these anonymous government jobs.

This worship of efficiency kills creativity. Every transcript I have, every piece of research, I go over again & again, looking for detail, pattern, illuminating anecdote. It’s not efficient. I flail sometimes! But it’s essential. It’s how I learn to tell the story to myself, so I can tell it to you

It’s one of my favorite places in the entire city. Winton modeled it after a Greek theater. That’s a 9 million dollar piece of glass angled at precisely 19° to be acoustically perfect to fill the room.

I got to watch Alicia Keys perform a private concert there once, my first month in the city.

no play in the history of the English language asks you to suspend your disbelief quite like Oscar Wilde making “women think ‘Ernest’ is an absolute panty dropper of a name” a load-bearing component of the plot

your kinks are your business, Oscar, but we are simply built different

Do you really feel that’s rare in actors? Isn’t that . . . the job?

(I’m not being shitty, that’s an honest question. As an actor 😅)
