tried to do better backups of a device and the SSD disappeared from the system while it was running, so that's interesting. also discovered I apparently have a couple of SSDs in one of my servers that just... aren't mounted or used for anything and I don't remember why??

"Hello World" - experimental Illustration for Folleach, with their bonk painting a world of his dreams. Knowing him, it'll have free wi-fi for everyone, and maybe some rivers and smaller streams to toy around with the boats in ^v^

And that's even with intentionally slowing things down by allowing folks to register and pay at the station instead of having to leave and come back.

I'm not sure how to improve things any more, most of that time is waiting for and making sure the ID we were handed matches up.

Huge shoutout to all the wonderful folks I got to work with at FurtheMore's reg last weekend, everyone crushed it this year!

Ran some stats and at our peak we were handing out a badge every 13 seconds across 4 pickup stations. I'm very happy with that number.

probably any of the 4 inch ones would be fine tbh, should be plenty you can get for under $100 on ebay

Well, the AC definitely works in here at least. It’s still dropping in temp.

It's also now possible to disable treating white as a background color and only use the alpha channel for cut generation. It's silly how many basic things this supports that their official app doesn't even try to do!

Finally got around to revisiting cut line generation in this alternate client for the PixCut S1 and it's working much better now. All the tiny details are getting properly attached to the main shapes. Also added some basic features like background color and ability to reorder and not cut images.

Samsung Galaxy XR review: Not the future of computing The first outing of Android XR is far from perfect, but there's at least one reason to buy it.

My review of Android XR and the Galaxy XR headset is live on @spacebar.news! I have a lot of thoughts.

I started playing with them for con reg reasons, but they're kinda just neat, and now I've written some fun libraries for Zebra ones. Probably not many folks who want to use SNAPI features over WebHID, but it's possible now x3

Also have a couple of combo RFID units, and UHF RFID is also fun.

I have 6 different barcode scanners on my desk right now. It's definitely not a problem... *hides eBay cart*

You can negate operators, searching for “-author:app/dependabot” will hide dependabot PRs

Got a device from eBay that was "New Open Box" with a battery from 2022 and it was immediately throwing charging errors, what a surprise. Trickling a couple of mA in to raise the voltage seems to have gotten it to start a real charge at least. Miiight keep a fire extinguisher handy just in case...

I've been using it for like 8 years now (that seems very long), and yeah, it's great. Does everything I need it to and stays out of the way.

All of my home Zebra printers (don't ask me how many) are now connected to a Weblink service I wrote so I don't have to worry about things like IP addresses, I can just send data to a HTTP service and it figures the rest out.

I'm so glad Traefik can route based on SNI and pass the TLS through to a service that needs to manage its own certificates instead of having to do things on non-standard ports.
