Yes, absolutely, I have always hated every single clown I have ever seen or had the misfortune of meeting in person. I have one weird exception and it's the clowns from Bigtop Burger??? Like...they're somehow endearing to me against my will....

My main concern is making sure these characters don't all have cookie cutter bodies but are still in very good shape in different ways, for different functions! I guess I always just thought that comparative ass math/volume was something I'd only need to think about if i was drawing everyone naked

You contribute to our own erasure by needing to jump in and assure people talking about their own lives and experiences that our problems aren't that bad, and doing this is not, in fact, helping trans women in any meaningful capacity. You are making things worse for other trans people for NO reason.

If you are set on minimizing your own issues, power to you I guess? But like...leave the rest of us out of it! We are trying to have conversations that matter about issues that need solutions, or even just eyes on them, you can sit out if you like.

Furthermore, talking about more than one of these groups does not take anything away from the others. You can support trans women and uplift them and call attention to their struggles without finding ways to tell other trans men and mascs to shut up.

Based on your own words, it seems you do not understand that we can literally highlight the struggles and needs of trans women, trans men and nonbinary people at the same time. It's not one or the other, and you do not have to throw yourself under the bus--we can ALL ride the bus, there's room!

Gonna be real, I literally do not think about my masculinity at all unless I am talking with someone who insists that it is the be-all, end-all metric for determining how privileged we are, and believes that other people are in a postion to or are even capable of denying us our own masculinity.

Does it give you euphoria to prop up trans women so you can act out the white knight archetype? Have you ever considered that you are doing the same kind of minimization of your own issues in the exact same way that women are encouraged to put everyone else first? Make themselves small?

Does it affirm your masculinity to insist that you never struggle ever and disparage those who admit to it? Does it alleviate your dysphoria to write off things like emotions and concerns as things that only women are capable of, so you can distance yourself from womanhood?

Says more about you than it does about any younger trans person trying and struggling to find the words to talk about their situation, find community and access support.

Please consider your own motives for denying your own community the vocabulary to speak about their struggles.

But younger trans men and mascs transitioning NOW, who do not have those supports, that security or the protection of community? They do need that community, they do need that support, and writing off my concern for trans men and mascs who are finding themselves excluded from community as drama?

that minority is also a man. I am in a place where I have access to therapy, I have a very good familial support system, my housing and transport are secure. I am, again, over 40 and established as a man and have been for a decade and change.

And while you may label it as "niche queer community online discourse" what I am actually talking about is the demonstrable ousting of a vulnerable minority from the 'combined vulnerable minority' community based on immutable characteristics, something we all normally agree is bad, unless

It does not protect me from medical neglect or legislated discrimination, or exempt me from baseless accusations based on conservative scaremongering, or the suggestion that my very presence in my kid's life is coercive by nature.

Strangers do not look at me and question whether or not I am cis, nobody is transvestigating me. The issue is that whatever modicum of privilege I gain in this scenario, it is CONDITIONAL and vanishes the moment someone discovers I am trans.
