Since "blogging" was becoming a thing, they set up blogs "authored" by the fictional "raging cows". But most notably, they hired a group of real teenagers to promote Raging Cow on their REAL blogs, which at the time was seen as disingenuous, unethical, and tacky, and even led to a boycott!

The marketing for Raging Cow was wild! First, they created a whole lore/backstory about a cow that was fed up with "boring milk" and wasn't gonna take it anymore, revolting against the farmers. Then, they "took over" websites, most notably the Yahoo homepage
