oh, absolutely. Wolfe and Archie are one of my favorite "autism + ADHD" pairs.

Not to mention his overusage of Lily's "Escamillo."
Something that I love about Stout's writing is how much is simply implied, and the way you have to read between the lines(especially with emotions). I feel like Goldsborough more directly stated things, making it lose some of the nuance and depth.

Good to know, thank you!! I feel like I've seen it somewhere else and discounted it since it wasn't a Nero Wolfe one, so I have a bit more faith it'll be there. My library has a very good selection, all of the Wolfe novels they have are like first prints or at least close to them.

Yeah it's such a shame that the series got the treatment it did. I agree, the Goldsborough ones just aren't as good. They're missing a certain charm, as well overusing certain phrases (he throws in the "raises his shoulders a __ of an inch" wayy to much). I've read better stuff on AO3 than those 😂

I finished watching thru Nero Wolfe again and I will forever be sad we didn't get at least 3 more seasons of Maury Chaykin in this role.
