I can’t believe this is the 50th episode 🥰
This one is all about the tragic Irish heroine, Deirdre.
Available on all platforms, but here’s the Spotify link 🧡

February was once a more romantic time of goat sacrifices and priests in thongs whipping women with strips of hide. You can read about this and more by having a look at this week’s scroll.
It’s completely free to read (I’m not asking for your money, I promise).

After 5 months I have finally logged back into this account and decided to get better at updating it and talking to you all. If it looks like I have ignored you for 5 months, I am sorry. I just have raging ADHD and forgot this existed. But hello, I'm back!👋
This week we are talking about the history and mythology of Logos! Another huge thank you to @diesclara.bsky.social for her amazing work and for contributing an insight into her process of designing the Ladies of Lore logo to this episode 🩷

Logo as a bronze coin over black background with line engravings with the words "ladies of lore" in the center, surrounded by eight scenes of women in different stories.
I'm so happy with how this logo for @ladiesoflore.bsky.social came out! In case the title isn't obvious enough, India's podcast is about female figures in folklore and mythology from all around the world.
She wanted a redesign that had a global perspective, without it being particularly Eurocentric.
Loved working on this logo! I'll share some more details on it soon, but I love these chances to take small peeks at mythologies from all around the world 😊

a drawing of an ancient looking coin with the words ‘Ladies of Lore’ in the middle. Around the edge of the coin are several scenes depicting women from mythology from all over the world.
can we just stop and appreciate the detail in the scenes around the edges 😍 I wanted to make sure this new logo was representative of the variety of cultures I cover on the podcast. Clara did such an amazing job researching and creating something that does that so beautifully.
gigantic thank you to @diesclara.bsky.social for the amazing new podcast logo. Can’t express how much I love it or how grateful I am 🥰
new logo, who dis?

It’s Ladies of Lore’s first birthday 🩷🎂 when I started this podcast I felt a bit silly. I didn’t think anyone would listen to what a girl on her spare bedroom floor had to say. But to my absolute surprise, quite a lot of you did. I am so grateful for all of you, and so excited for the next year!
Thank you 🤣🧡

Two things happened today:
1) I was formally diagnosed with raging ADHD (to the surprise of nobody that knows me)
2) I hit 5k on Spotify!
Thank you all so much for everything, this podcast has been the one thing I’ve been able to stick to long term and for that in itself I am proud and grateful🩷
If you want to learn about the history of Fairies while also hearing some amazing improvised music about the history of fairies, you should 100% listen to the episode I’ve just realised with @rpgmajor.bsky.social 🧚

A medieval artwork, in colour, which depicts a scaly, brown devil (who has chicken feet, a tail and visible vertebrae) carrying Jesus away into the hills. Jesus is a pale-skinned man with brown hair and beard, wearing an orangey robe. He has a strangely stiffened posture, as if paralysed.

I don't know what's happened in the last few weeks but everything has just got really exciting all of a sudden. So happy and content in my little mythology world and can't wait to share it all with you guys.
Had such a fun time talking all things Snow White with you today Missy! Can't wait to share it with everyone 🍎🪞
For those that follow the podcast and have ever wanted to ask me a question - I will be doing a little Q&A session soon! So if you have anything to ask, let me know by replying to this post! It’ll be a video Q&A which is new for me but I’m excited to give it a whirl🩷
Elaine! Thank you so much 🥰 really appreciate you listening and sharing! So happy you like the podcast 🧡
Thank you so much 🥰
The numbers haven’t ever really mattered to me, but this just felt really nice. I’m honestly super grateful for everyone who tunes in to hear me yap enthusiastically and nerdily about my special interests. The community this little podcast has brought to me is so special to me🥰
On New Years Eve, I wrote a list of things I’d like to achieve in 2025. I’ve done this before and, honestly, I don’t usually do the things. But one of my goals was to reach 1K followers on Spotify, I didn’t really think this was achievable but I put it down anyway. Today I hit 4K🥺So grateful🧡
