Took delivery of 2 rescue hedgehogs this evening. Born too late to hibernate but now a chunky pair that I hope will enjoy the habitat here. I bet they never use the house after tonight!

Marsh Capet and Emperor Moth mugs

I get the feeling that I need to add a 3rd trap as my garden is a bit bigger than yours and I ONLY have one mv and one actinic....but that would add to the trap-opening time required 😫 but it also might catch the rare ones I miss...

Strumpshaw Fen

After yesterday's flooding and trail closures at RSPB Strumpshaw Fen, the water levels have dropped and both Fen Hide and Tower Hide have re-opened. Still a bit muddy.

Common Quaker to MV tonight - that mild spell must have confused it, though I had one 8 December last year too
