Took a trip to Koln today from Dusseldorf and had some beers today.
Pfaffgen and Fruh were my favorite of the Kolsches and Ueirge and schlussel were my top Altbiers. All were good.

First day in Amsterdam. Had a couple of beers. One from De Prael and one from Estaminet. Both good. Rest of trip is Dusseldorf, Cologne and then Ghent, Brugges and Brussels

How was the Alt? Been to Collision Bend a few times. It's not a style you see often around here. I'll be in Dusseldorf in a couple of weeks for some good Altbier. Probably brewing one this weekend as well.

Dopesmoker by Sleep. It's over an hour long and has plenty of changes. A close second would be Worship by Bongripper. That being said - I think I have listened to Return Trip by Electric Wizard more than any other track the last few years.

Day 2 was breakfast at Sam's #3 and then Bierstadt. Had the Peoples Pils (2.8% with Saphir and Wai iti) and the Dunkle. Went to the Fillmore for some metal after. Caught the end of Red Chord and then Chat Pile and some of Blood Incantation. Tomorrow is Conan and then Acid Bath!

Nice Slayer reference! Looks like a cool spot. Hadn't heard of this one. I see they have an Altbier so I may have to go check it out. Spent a couple hours this past weekend looking for an Altbier in the stores and ended up disappointed.
